SAGE HILL PROJECT Y CLUB

Sage Hill Club was founded by Elise Newen, Sharon Lin & Natalie Alvarez in 2016.

OCCares Sage Hill Club chose The Joyful Child Foundation as its non-profit organization of choice (2016~2018) to help prevent crimes against children.

The club partnered with E-LABEL clothing to help raise funds for their - The Joyful Child Foundation. By contributing to OCCares Sage Hill Club efforts, you can also help us prevent crimes against children!

All E-LABEL purchases through OCCares Sage Hill Club will directly support The Joyful Child Foundation and our goal to make this world a better place.

THE NEW LEADERS OF THE SAGE HILL PROJECT Y CLUB 2018~2019 ARE: MALINI ARORA & JAMIE GOLDIN. This school year the Sage Hill Club chose Serving Kids Hope as its non-profit organization of choice to help end Childhood Obesity and lifestyle related diseases through Dr. Patricia Riba’s highly successful program.


We Raised 2,000$ for Serving Kids Hope at the Cinco De Mayo Event

JAMIE G.

Jamie is going to be a senior and she joined OCcares at the end of her freshmen year of highschool and has lead her club ever since then. She says, “ I feel so fortune to be a part of an organization that dives deeper into a cause than most OC cares truly cares about the people they help, and I love learning about each organization we help. My involvement in this organization has enhanced my volunteer experience by giving me the resources to help organizations that require additional planning and funding.”

ADITYA R.

Aditya is going to be a sophomore when school starts. He is the treasurer of the club. From Aditya’s own words he said, “I learned a lot about the challenges that face others in our county that I was blind to prior to my time in the club. I also learned more about the structure of non-profits and the attributes they must possess to reach their goal of success and awareness.”

ALISON H.

Alison says, “Im going to be a junior this year and I am currently an average club member. I’ve learned so much in this club such as how to organize events and volunteer opportunities, the basics of philanthropy, and the importance of educating this generation to become future leaders in service work.”

Past Alumni Members


Elise Minuet N.

Elise N. graduated form Sage Hill High School and is attending UCI as a dance major on a premed track. She has been a part of OCCares since OCCares’ inception in 2013 volunteering her time with fundraising event preparations and performances. As a co-founder and president of the Sage Hill Project Y Club (2016~2018), she actively participated in supporting the Joyful Child Foundation and OCCares’ mission objectives.

Elise enjoys singing, dancing and spending time with her friends and sisters at Alpha Phi.
Sharon L.

Sharon L. graduated from Sage Hill High School and is attending University of San Francisco as an undecided business major. She has been a part of OCCares since her Junior year and she was the Vice President of the OCCares club (2016~2018). She is now the intern for OCCares and are working on several projects for the future Project Y clubs.

Ms. L. was also an intern for Redline Detection, Gloss Moderne, Chameleon Design, and Plasticos Foundation. At Plasticos Foundation, she was able to attend board meetings to take meeting summaries, managed their social media, and created GoFundMe’s for their future mission trips. Sharon is also fluent in Mandarin, Taiwanese, and English.

Ms. L. had gained a lot of new experiences through working under OCCares and Dr. Katherine Ahn. She is also very excited for the new members of the OCCares clubs next year.
Natalie A.

Natalie A. graduated from Sage Hill High School and is attending UCSB with special interest in becoming an orthodontist one day. She served as an OCCares Project Y Sage Hill Club Secretary (2016~2018) and enjoyed contributing to the causes it supported. She also enjoyed the internship that OCCares provided in the summer and is grateful for the opportunities OCCares provided.
