Charmaine
is an artist/song writer living in Nashville, TN
Charmaine
was born in 1984, in West Covina, CA.
Although her parents are from Sydney, Australia, she was born in
the USA because at the time they were on tour with their Music Ministry. A
vocal band known for their exceptional harmonies and clever arrangements
that had become very well known all
over the South Pacific. Charmaine
has been all her life on the road and travelled since birth with her
parents in this ministry. She is
truly a 'child' of the road. This
has meant that, music ministry is nothing new for her and adding to the
fact that Jesus has been the primary factor to her life, being on the road
as a music artist has been where she is most at home.
From
the ages of 5 to 11 she was a 'guest' singer at every concert in the
family's music ministry, some 300 + concerts a year.
At 11
years old she became the youngest singer in the same ministry led by her
father and mother.
When
she was 13 she recorded her very first album, most of the songs in the
album were composed by herself. She
started writing around 8 years old.
At 16
years of age her album was noticed by a record label in the USA and she
was signed up to Elevate Records.
At 17 years of age she moved to the USA along with her parents and
joined Rebecca St James as a back up singer.
When
she was 18, her first album under Elevate/Inpop records, "All About
Jesus" was released and she toured with Rebecca St James now as an
opening act.
In the
next 8 years, she shared the stage with many renown singers and
musicians. Casting Crowns, Jeremy
Camp, The News Boys amongst many others.
In
2009 she left Elevate Records and accepted a deal with Incite Media, a
Record/Media Production company where she released her second production
under a label, "Love Reality".
This
album had overwhelmingly positive reviews and was considered 'the album of
the decade' by many reviewers. One of her songs "Run" hit the
top 20 on Christian Rock radio for 10 weeks.
Presently
she is working with a production company (who manages her as well) called,
"Vocal Mischief". She has been in and out of the studio working
on her latest album which does not, as yet, have a release date.
Charmaine
is an advocate for Compassion International.
She is
a P&W leader at her local church in Franklin, TN and supports local
ministries, such as 'People Loving Nashville', a ministry that feeds the
homeless in Nashville, TN.
